Been a long time since I've been here to post anything.  My life has changed so much since the last post.  Thor, my Great Dane died back in 2013.  I got married in February of 2014.  We got Stormy Tiny Monster (Great Dane) in November of 2014.  Tiffany and I were married 4 years.  We got divorced in 2018.  And now, back to the same old boring life I go about.  Stormy and I live a pretty boring and calm life, except Stormy is the hyperest Great Dane I've ever been around.  He just doesn't like to sit still.  Pretty much my life is work, gym, home, and church.  I just started a new journal in which I am detailing the new workout plan I am starting.  Going to be exciting.  I might post tidbits from entries along the way.

Long Time

Okay, it has been a really long time since I posted anything. I don't post because nothing really changes in my life. If things changed with me, I could see and understand posting. I hate having my picture taken, and so does Thor for that matter. That is why I don't post pictures of me, I don't take them. I have to actually bribe Thor to stand still long enough for me to take a picture. I am still single and there is no one special in my life. I live a very excluded, solitary, and easy life. I work hard and every day. I play hard and hit the gym hard. There is nothing new or exciting with me. If there was, I would have posted it. If anything ever does happen that is note worthy, exciting, or even entertaining I will post it. I did add that winch to my Jeep last year and learned how to use it. I had a blast pulling friends of mine out of the mud and whatever else they got stuck in. Well, that is about it. I have to get back to work now.

Vacation of Sorts

Howdy all. Just simple and same old me. I finally got the time and decided to sit long enough to post. I know it has been a couple of months. The snow has for the most part melted, except up in the higher areas. There are places that there are still over 10 feet of snow. There is one pass that won't be open for a while because there is a 52 foot drift over it. Yeah, 52 foot. I am not joking either. On Friday I spent some time talking to the man in charge of snow pack and the flooding situation. I learned quite a bit. We set a new record here for the most snow in one year for town. 104.3 inches so far in 2008. Yuck! I could have gone forever without breaking that record.

Anyway, I am about to be on a week vacation. Actually, my parents are going on a vacation and headed down to Texas to see both of my sisters and my the grand kids. They are going to be gone about a week and I can't wait. I get the whole store and everything to myself. The only down side is that I have to take care of their insane dog. Thor and Domino get along so it won't be too bad. That does mean that I get 12 to 13 hours of work in each day they are gone. That doesn't really bother me. I have a ton of stuff I want to get done while I am left alone.

Nothing going on in my love life. It is dead. Nothing and I mean nothing going on. Oh well, what's a simpleton to do. Ha! I am off to bed. I have started getting up an hour earlier and going on my run instead of waiting till work is over. It has been pretty nice and I am liking it. I am sticking to it. The real test of this will be this week when I have to get up another hour earlier because I have to be at work an hour earlier than normal. Oh well, such is life. Winch

Okay, for all of you who remember, last year I was seriously thinking about putting a winch and all that on my Jeep. Well, I finally stopped being cheap and bit the bullet. Yep, I finally ordered the winch/air compressor that I wanted. I also had to order a winch plate to mount it on to. The whole setup is costing me about $1500 before I have it installed. The nicest part about this whole deal is that it also qualifies for a work expense. This means that the business is going to pay for part of it. I am getting a 9500lb version of this winch. This particular winch comes in either a 9500lb or 12000lb version. Since I am putting it on the Jeep, the 9500lb should be almost overkill. I will put it to the test though. Here is a picture of the winch, and I promise that I will take a picture of the Jeep once I get it installed.

Howdy. Nothing new really going on in my life. It is just me and Thor and all the snow. Seems like all I do is shovel snow. Oh well, it isn't like I have a life that I am neglecting. Ha. Work, work, work. That is all I seem to do these days. It isn't so bad really, especially since I like my job during this time of year and am my own boss. I come and go freely and do pretty much whatever I want or feel like doing. I am finally trying to get back to some resemblance of a routine at the gym. 4 days a week anywhere from 90 minutes to 115 minutes a time. I have a pretty good workout going on. At least I have something to do. That is pretty much my life. No social activities except the gym and the weekly visit to the grocery store. I know that sounds pathetic, but it is true so it must be. Anyway, happy tidings to all.

Snow

Well, I don't know if any of you have heard, but we have gotten more snow this year than normal. January is usually our coldest and least precipitation month. I hope they are wrong on the precipitation part this year. We have had the most snow since 1951. It is about 3 to 4 foot deep in piles that are untouched. I have been shoveling for 8 or 9 days straight. It is no fun. Things in my life are going. Just going. Nothing new to report. My life is boring as always. About the only thing I have going on is that I get to go to Dallas in February for my cousin's wedding. I think I am the only one of the kids in my family that hasn't gotten married. That is an odd feeling for sure. Oh well, all I can say is keep moving forward. That is all I can do. Anyway, here is a picture that I took of town the other day. I stopped taking pictures. I hate snow but love the cold. This year I am in the wrong place. Around here we are even having to shovel off our roofs. I have spent 13 hours on my parent's roof and have another 2 or 3 to go. It really sucks. Oh well, someone has to do it.
